Neopolitan Labs, SF

This is looking toward the street-side windows. The mixer is to the LH side.

He doesn't mind using a PC to record sound, but Josh isn't very happy with the software synthesizers available--and he's tried a lot of them. He wants only real analog stuff.

Look at the awesome display of Metasonix modules! He likes Moogerfoogers too. But not a virtual pedal or virtual synth in sight. Everything we saw was hardcore, top-end analog.

It's nice to have such a dedicated fan. We're still trying to figure out why he loves the TM-6 filter so much. He bought SIXTEEN of them

Boulevard of orgiastic consumerism: Las Vegas Blvd at nite. Young men walking around with big bottles of booze in their hands and chicks drinking from goofy souvenir glasses bigger than their heads. I guess you got to get really buzzed to forget about the foot torture of the stiletto heals clip clopping down the street.

Ruthie's Inn Memorial at NIMBY, Oakland

Ruthie's Inn Memorial Show at NIMBY, Oakland. Sept 23 2006 Who needs a high school renunion when an event like this happens! Old core bands and a funky wherehouse and about 2000 people is about all it takes. Some of these bands i haven't seen since i was my son's age! My buddy, Pierre, was the first person i ran into that i knew while waiting for the show to happen. It wasnt clear at first just where to enter. It was a gap between two fences...When we did, we had to sign waivers and no ins and outs. The show was delayed by a good hour and a half while they were still setting up the stage and moving various cargo around the wherehouse, in the midst of the early crowd. The bar was pushing "punk rock punch" - a rum vodka fruit drink out of a huge pot. They had a skateramp in the back along with a fire barrel and 3 portapotties. That's right, 3 portapotties for 2000 people. It was a good mix of young and olders. Too bad i pussied out at 3:30 am and didnt make it t

We Pity The Kitties

On May 10, 2012 these two were the last kittens left at Lake County Animal Control. They had goopy eyes and were the bottom of the barrel during a special event that week at LCAC. As soon as I got close to their cage, Frak reached out is leg and tagged me. He saw the writing on the wall. He wanted to get hisself and his sister the hell out of there. Being overly sentimental, of course I was compelled to rescue them! At the time of adoption, they were 11 weeks old. They made peace with Lefty and Tufty, the 8 yr old cats we have indoors/outdoors and have been so much fun even when Frak is living up to his name. (Geek humor: On Battlestar Gallactica, instead of using "fuck" to cuss, they used "frack")
