Hyssop. Almost to the top of the railing now.
insect orgy. Turns out that these are termites , leaving a party at my house. Where's my goddamn bouncer! I need to 86 these guys. Update: My new bouncer, Jim (Aardvark Termite Contol 800.498.2818), who made a preliminary inspection (he went under the house!)says the damage is minimal, and no structural damage. He also told me a couple interesting things: ☺ He has never seen so many termites swarms like this year ☺ Ants eat termites Go ants!

Myra in repose Looking Northwest of the jail, to Mendo forest in the distance. Afternoon clouds created fast-moving patches of light and shadow. If I had a better camera, you would see just how much the wildflowers glow in the sun.
